We are helping to shape how health and social care services are provided in the future bringing the voice of primary care professionals and neighbourhoods to help positively impact health and wellbeing across Salford. We are excited and inspired by this challenge and are looking for two Non-Executive Directors to help take us forward on this journey.
As a start-up social enterprise (registered as a Community Interest Company) we are now emerging into our second full year of operational activity. We’ve achieved a lot, changed a lot and learnt a lot along the way.
We are now seeking to recruit two independent Non-Executive Directors to join the Board to help us deliver our plans to support the people of Salford to live healthier, happier and more fulfilling lives.
Working closely with the Chair and Chief Executive, our Non-Executive Directors will champion the vision and values of the company, ensure effective organisational strategies are in place, and make certain that the Board is always able to discharge its duties and responsibilities.
In this first tranche of recruitmentwe are particularly keen to hear from people with Non-Executive experience, one of whom we would like to be a current GP within Salford. For our other Non-Executive Director, we’ve set our sights on someone with other clinical experience, perhaps with a nursing or allied health professional background.
We feel it’s crucial our new Non-Executive Directors possess:
- Commitment to the vision and values of Salford Primary Care Together;
- Relevant experience of establishing and maintaining effective governance structures;
- An ability to confidently navigate a complex and changing health and social care landscape;
- Credibility with key stakeholders, including local GPs, the Integrated Care Organisation and commissioners; and
- An ability to place local people at the heart of organisational decision making.
One of the new Non-Executive Directors will also be asked to assume, following induction, the chairing role of the Quality Committee which oversees clinical governance; and the other new Non-Executive Director will help establish and chair the proposed Advisory Committee, which will bring together a cross section of GP perspectives to help shape our work.
The commitment in terms of time will be around 1 – 2 days per month and will involve serving on the Board as well as serving on an assurance sub-committee.This post will be remunerated.
